Hello World!
Welcome to ‘The Loop’.
'The Loop' is what its title says it is: a work of fiction. For the greater part, it follows the trajectory of a young Everyman character, Lucky, through the Corporate and Academic formations of post-Y2K India. Framing this main track of events are a couple of episodes from Mythology, which further emphasize some of the themes explored in this work.
'The Loop' looks like a play – with the purely dialog-driven format, the action blocked into scenes, use of words such as 'stage', 'audience', 'curtain' and so forth... But it is intended to be simply read - and hopefully, enjoyed!
'The Loop' is not aimed at any specific target audience; some familiarity with modern corporate culture and computers (and Modern India, where most of the action takes place - and maybe Greek Myths!) would help but is not essential – footnotes in each section explain some of the more uncommon words in the text.
I hail from Kerala, India and at present, am based in Ahmedabad, India. I would be happy to receive Readers’ opinions (and Publishers’ queries ) at theloopauthoratgmaildotcom.
